2 cups of walnuts
8-12 pitted medjool dates, soaked
1/3, plus 2 tsp of cacao powder
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 cup coconut oil, melted
¼ cup agave nectar
¼ tsp salt



Soak dates for about 20 minutes. Take this time to gather your ingredients.

In a your Vitamix or food processor, blend nuts and dates until crumbly. Stop the processor and add the cacao, nectar, vanilla, coconut oil and salt for about a minute.

Spoon the mixture into a prepared pan covered with wax paper.


1 cup of cacao powder
1 cup of agave nectar
1 tbsp yacon syrup
½ cup of coconut oil, melted
Dash of salt

Whisk all ingredients together until smooth. In my opinion, this mixture does not have to be blended in a blender or processor. Feel free to do so, if you’d like.

Pour the frosting over the brownies.  Chill and enjoy.
