Ingredients

4 Lemons, scrubbed and washed
4 cups of warm filtered water, divided
8-9 cups of cold water
2 cups of raw agave nectar or maple syrup, divided

Procedure

Slice lemons in half and squeeze and much of the juice from the lemons in the pitcher. We are saving the lemons, so put them to the side.

*Add 4 cups of warm water and one cup of agave or maple syrup to the pitcher. Stir.

Add the remaining water and agave or maple syrup to the mixture and stir.

Return the lemons to the pitcher.

Serve over ice and refrigerate the remaining lemonade.

*the reason for the warm water technique is to help enhance and blend the flavors of the lemons and sweeteners.
